「Buddhist Compassion Relief Tzu-Chi Foundation 」is a non-profit organization founded in 1966 by Dharma Master Cheng Yen in the impoverished east coast of Taiwan.
Currently, there are Tzu Chi branches in 46 countries. Tzu Chi’s work began with the four missions: charity, medicine, education and culture and eight practices international disaster relief, environmental protection, community volunteerism, bone marrow donor registration – that is thus named “One step, eight footprints.”
